Our home, our temple

The Mo’o Pu’uwai

Welcome to Mo’o Pu’uwai.

We look forward to welcoming you to these sacred lands.

We will be gathering in the East Side of the Island of Hawai’i in the beautiful Hilo-Hamakua Coast and journeying together to various special sites on the West coast of the island. We will be staying and studying at the Mo’o Pu’uwai (Dragon Heart) lands in Pepe’ekeo on the Makahanaloa Coast. A beautiful 2.8 acre ocean side retreat with 200 year old Banyans, flowering Mimosas, coconut, papaya, banana, wild mango and avocado trees. A top an abundant aquifer with flowing springs and ocean access at our very own secret cove. Facing directly East, our mornings are blessed with incredible sunrises. Our dolphin friends swim by most days and whales come to give birth during whale season. Pepe’ekeo is known as a sun belt on the East Side of the island. Most days are beautifully sunny with gentle rains blessing us in the evenings, helping to keep the land fertile and abundant.

The nearest airport is the Hilo International Airport - a 25 minute drive. We are 17 minutes from Hilo town, 12 minutes from one of the best surf beaches on the island, and 5-10 minutes to countless waterfalls, rivers, hiking trails and ocean access spots.
